Here are some things to chew on:
Thoughts on Music - Steve Jobs (hat tip http://project.ioni.st/)
Steve goes into explaining DRM, it’s purpose, and possible ways to get rid of it (as most people want). Imagine a world where you can get music at any shop and play it on any device… Sounds good right? According to the article, Steve wants Apple to try to take it in that direction. What are the drawbacks? Music bigwigs want to control the music… and DRM is their one stop solution to controlling what you listen to… yet still get you to pay. It’s funny as how 90% of music sold world wide is DRM-free on CDs… 20billion songs to be exact… while DRM is on a measly 2billion… The middle ground of making DRM open license is a step in the right direction, but DRM eradication would be the best!
CNN Has Panel on Atheism, without Atheists (hat tip http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/)
CNN does a story on a “ostracized” atheist family… with people quoting that it’s Atheists’ fault that it’s like this in America. Militant Atheists are bringing the shunning… The quickly go to a panel afterwards… but guess what? There were no Atheists on the panel. WTF? Seriously… how can you have a panel discussion without having all of the sides of the story? Aside from the thoughts on Atheists’ bringing their own demise (which is funny, because there are many Christian’s who feel oppressed)… the idea of having a balanced panel being composed of people of faith talking about Atheism, is not responsible. Blah
It absolutely amazes me when nature brings us twists… like the two-faced calf… or two-headed snake… or Cy the cat. These are the only human observed rarities… and genetic mutations that are taking place… yet there are people in the world that believe that evolution doesn’t happen. Seriously. Obviously the faithful folk will instantly ring … “It was God’s choice to bring them into this world and take them quickly…” But that’s too easy for me.
Isn’t Cy cute?

It’s fairly humorous, that you can download Job’s speech from iTunes and… only listen to it on your iPod! Haha
