So DreamHost decided to upgrade to Rails 1.1 out of the blue without warning. Lots of people are upset. I too was upset when I found out that my blog suddenly went down due to breaking changes in versions of Rails. I wasn’t about to scream and rant.



I knew some people would figure it out.



What did I do?




$cd sites/thoughtstoblog.com/vendor
$svn export http://dev.rubyonrails.org/svn/rails/tags/rel_1-0-0/ rails


Subversion to the rescue AGAIN.



UPDATE



To be fair, they reverted… and posted an article on it.

    Maybe I'm missing something but it's pretty funny - from slashdot the other day regarding rails 1.1 "Not to mention upgrading this time promises to be a piece of cake."

    Kind of off topic, but how do you like DreamHost?

    I love DH... they are doing things well... they have decent costs and awesome features!
