So at work, we have this thing called “Summer Hours.” Lots of corporate places have them… some get the benefits for free, others have a shift in hours.
Here’s how our’s works.
Monday through Thursday - 9 hour days
Every other Friday - Rotate between 8 hour day and 8 hour time off.
It’s nice. We get every other Friday “off” for free, as in I work the extra hours from the Friday off during the 2 week period.
It’s still better than nothing… for example, this week. 3 Day week with Memorial Day off! w00t!
Since I haven’t blogged that much lately (due to busy life)… I thought I’d let you guys in on some good humor I’ve found recently stumbling through the web…
First off, there’s a new feature in MacBooks that has a swift motion sensing device which you can utilize in your applications… So naturally, a tribute to the Star Wars Kid was inevitable…
Hilarious.
Next up, a new product from Philips called the Body Groom.
Good shit.
What else is there? How about a funny little emo kid video:
Check out the Duel Guitar Hero action (Tom and Leonard):
Let’s just say that TWO guitars brings out a whole other side to the game…
About the weekend though: lunch at Maynards on the lake… stop by the MoA… dinner at Bar Abeline… drinks at the Peanut Bar… and a nightcap, featuring whiskey and vodka playing… you guessed it… Guitar Heroes
It looks sweet… here’s the intro screen. Slightly cluttered. Click on the photos and check out my notes on Flickr.
kinda tight.
The ONE problem I have is that some controls feel like they are in URGE and some controls feel like they are in WMP. It’s supposed to be an integrated experience…
very cluttered
Overall it will take some time to play around. I have accounts on all of the major music services but still go with iTunes for my purchases.
A brief montage of Xbox Live Arcade games: Pac-Man, Contra, Galaga, Contra, Sonic, Defender, SF II Hyper Fighting, Time Pilot, Ultra Mortal Kombat 3, Scramble. Track and Field, Time Pilot, Contra, Super Contra, Paperboy, Rally-X, Frogger, too.
Sales are actually steeper than the iPod. Wow.
By Christmas… 160 Games including second-wave 360 titles: Lost Planet, Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis, Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway, Mass Effect, NHL 2k7 (2K Sports), Too Human, Viva Pinata, Moto GP, F.E.A.R., LoTR Battle for Middle Earth, Sonic the Hedgehog, Madden NFL 07, World Series Poker, Saint’s Row, John Woo presents Stranglehold, Enchanted Arms, Test Drive Unlimited, NCAA Football 2007, Dead Rising, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007, DDR Universe, Prey, NBA 2007, Crackdown, 99 Nights, Gears of War, Superman Returns.
